The port strike is finally over. Finnish port operators and the Finnish Transport Workers' Union (AKT) have accepted the proposal for general agreement drafted up early this morning by national conciliator Esa Lonka.

The negotiations between the Finnish port operators and the Finnish Transport Workers' Union (AKT) continued in the state conciliator's office on Thursday 18.3. from 10.00 hrs to Friday 19.3. 03.00 hrs. Representants from The Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK) and The Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK) also participated in the meeting.
The national conciliator gave his draft proposal at 03.15 hrs. Response to his proposal will be given today at 13.00 hrs.
