In conjunction with the Ferry Shipping Conference 2007 on board M/v Mariella two weeks ago the ShipPax awards for deliveries taking place in 2006 have been announced.
M/v Timca has won in the category "Outstanding RoRo Logistics Concept" for an innovative and flexible Con-Ro configuration, allowing fast turnaround shortsea operations using both Ro-Ro and Lo-Lo modes. For the Ro-Ro access, which allows independent traffic flows to all 4 decks and for the Lo-Lo access using cellguides both fore and aft.
M/v Timca will acquire a diploma and a specially designed glass piece, which shall be exposed onboard the vessel as evidence of the achievement.
