M/v Timca touched ground upon arrival in port of Rauma

On Tuesday morning February 16th at about 5.45 a.m. M/v Timca touched ground when approaching the port of Rauma (Finland). Following by the grounding, the ship proceeded towards the discharge berth.

Presently, the situation is under control. There have been no injuries. Precautions were taken to limit marine pollution, by means of placing an oil boom around the vessel.

Further precautionary matters are being taken to ensure that the crew, the vessel and the cargo are safe.

Authorities are informed and are involved to deal with the emergency situation. Preliminary investigation by authorities, in co-operation with the company is taking place. We are currently awaiting permission to start cargo operations and will update you about the expected time of discharging the cargo and further schedule as soon as known.
